Citizens Can Speak

A citizens comment for voter fraud.  see Dons Daily News and other references on other sections of this post.  Voter fraud and irregularities in elections must be stopped.

Good way of putting it, Don! Actually, Fern Shubert and Hugh Webster filed a formal complaint w/ BoE last fall. I know because Dale Swiggett snapped a wonderful photo of Kim Strach as Fern handed off the complaint. Much to WRAL's credit, they did feature one sentence in their coverage on the initial Easley hearing last fall and had a link to their complaint. The very next day, Dale filed his own complaint which basically called into question as to why Ms. Dare O'Connor went from Les Merritt's office (NC State Auditor) over to Leake's office. But alas, nothing was done about his particular complaint even though it was widely distributed throughout mainstream media sources.

Dale met w/ Ms. O'Connor and fellow investigator Brian Strickland going over his complaint regarding Bay River Sewer. At some point Ms. O'Connor ended up at BoE and the Bay River Sewer file went MIA. Mr. Merritt and Chuck Stuber (FBI agent) were very disturbed that these files were missing. Once questioned as to whether he actually had met w/ O'Connor and Strickland, Dale produced their business cards.

And just to jog some memories of folks, earlier this year DWQ/DENR finally slapped a sewer moratorium on Bay River Sewer, which of course severely impacts Pamlico County's ability to provide sewer hook-ups. Interestingly enough, only one newspaper (The County Compass) thought this was important enough to report to the public. Of course, many people thought that Dale Swiggett was not credible but in actuality he is one of the rarest of whistle blowers - a peson from the outside who figured out how the 'pay-to-play' schemes were constructed and facilitated (e.g. express permitting, real estate Ponzi schemes, conservation easements misappropriation of funds, etc).

Dale's journey started when his real estate projects in Pamlico ran headlong into the powers-that-be system of corruption. He's just one of a few people who decided to take a stand. Too bad there aren't others out there w/ his diligence and perseverence. As everyone should know, greed/avarice/hubris know no party lines. Perhaps that's why so little has been done up until now when a small business man only concerned w/ job creation entered into the fray.

Citizens Can Speak

Well, at least they're working together:

It's such a great state budget even the Republicans are voting for it according to a post by the John Locke's Meck Dec blog found at

http://charlotte.johnlocke.org/blog/?p=8108

So the budget issue's off the table for the republicans to take to voters in November. If they do, they'll look a little silly when the Ds counter back with, "but we had bi-partisian support for this and many other budgets in past years." The line: "but we've changed, we're really really going to govern differently this time.".......Riiiight.......

How about re-districting as an issue? Nope, sorry, no issue there either, Republicans joined Democrats in the state legislature joined together and voted for that one too. The thinking, I've got a safe district, so the heck with those other poor suckers who got double bunked under the leadership of the co-zy relationship between the Republican and Democrat Co-Speakers of past. One speaker went to federal prison.

Tax increases?, sorry, Republicans, have, over the last 8 years joined with their colleagues in the state house and/or senate to support, in some cases, by a strong majority of the house and senate caucus in supporting the Democrat's spending plans.

Corruption? Bzzzzz. No again, Republicans helped keep the former Democrat speaker of the house in power, one switched parties in exchange for cash and a job, he went to jail too. The former former republican speaker of the house narrowly escaped indictment in a hog scandal. This was the republican speaker before the aforementioned co-speaker relationship forged by republicans and democrats that ended with one speaker going to federal prison.

So the message from Raleigh appears to be: Everything going swell, both parties agree, no changes needed here.

Wouldn't it be a refreshing for citizens if there were actually an opposition party in North Carolina?

Serious questions to be answer by the Governor, Secretary of Interior and Swain County Commissioner and let's not forget Shuler either.

PLEASE note the signatory pages (the last two). There are some things here, that are questionable;

The Governors' signature is: Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010.

The Dept. of Interiors' Secretary signature is: Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010.

The TVA signature is: Friday, Feb. 5, 2010.

The Swain Conmmissioners did not meet until Friday, Feb. 5 2010 at 1pm in a special session for determination on signing the MOA, the notice for the Special Session was emailed at 10:38 am on the Sunshine List, the MOA draft did not go out until 11:44 am

Simple question: How could legimately/legally/morally/ethically a press release be issued  on Tue. Feb. 2, 2010 from the 11th congressional dist. of NC as follows:

The Swain County Board of Commissioners will hold a vote on Friday on whether to accept the settlement offer.  As acceptance is likely, a signing ceremony is being planned for 11:30am on Saturday, February 6th to officially finalize the agreement.

So, as with the health care bill, "What's the rush?"

This was a first draft, and was there a public hearing, town hall meeting by Shuler, or the Swain Co. Commissioners??? No, again, "government forced on the people". As well, did the Swain Co. mafia allow for a reading to the public of what was going to be signed "NO".

Sincerely yours,

Mike Clampitt

Please read and learn actually this guy has the right idea about straighten out your Party be it Democratic or Republican.

[NCDP-on-Trial] 161:  A Progressive Rogues' Gallery

.

In 2005 when NC Democratic Party's 1st Vice Chair Jerry Meek decided to invite Progressive Democrats of NC, Inc., into the Party to assist him winning the State Party Chairmanship, NO ONE inside the Party approved bringing in a private EXTERNAL membership Corporation into a strictly INTERNAL State Executive Committee Election.  The SEC is the equivalent of the Party's Board of Directors.

.

Lawyer Meek cut a quid pro quo deal with PDNC Members:  "Help elect me State Party Chair, and I will let your PDNC Corporation sneak in as an Auxiliary Club of the Party thru a back door."  Not only had the SEC not approved PDNC entering its Elections, but most SEC Members had not even heard of PDNC, incorporated in 2004.

.

This was as certain a Corporate Hostile Takeover as ever happened.  Corporate PDNC Members pushed Jerry over the top by 15 votes out of 700, edging out the Governor's choice, Ed Turlington, causing the future of the Party to change forever. And it did not change for the better.

.

What Lawyer Meek said was, "If I cannot win fair and square, I'll cheat."  And he got away with it because no one objected.  No one objected, because by the time it was over, no one realized what had happened.  Everyone bought into Lawyer Jerry's near-perfect Con.  And the SEC bought it again 2 years later, by re-electing Jerry unanimously, as he did love to brag about in his official NCDP Website Bio, neglecting to mention he slipped-in the first time by cheating, and by only 15 votes.

.

Turns out I helped Jerry get a unanimous vote by making him a target, by writing and publishing the crooked things he was doing, assuming Democrats would wake up to his Con.  But Progressives were desperate to made sure Jerry got back in, or else their entire Progressive House of Cards would fall, and their dreams of controlling the Party with it.

.

Jerry had sent his 1st VChair Delmas Parker and NCDP Staffer Kristen Ward to fire my innocent wife as Chair of the Rockingham Co Democratic Party, to try to shut me up.  Apparently, it didn't work.

.

Fast forward: 5 years after Jerry's Hostile Takeover:   With Jerry gone this past year, we can now see more clearly the unavoidable damage caused by NOT objecting to his cheating.  The lies, cheating and stealing which Progressive Groups continue did Weaken and disUnify the Party since they were snuck in.

.

A large number of Democratic Candidates in NC will loose their Elections this November, unnecessarily, unless Jerry's Corporate Con is reversed by removing all of his Progressive Infiltrators at the SEC Meeting in Durham on Feb 13th.

In Edition 158, a long list of Progressives masquerading as NCDP Party Officers was presented.  In Edition 159, every registered NC Democrat was invited to attend the free SEC Meeting at the Marriott Convention Center in Durham on Feb 13th, to see their Party in action. You were also invited to play  Spot-the-Progressive!  by printing out Edition 158 and using it as a Score Sheet.

.

More Progressive Infiltrators are added to those listed in Edition 158.  And an Extra-Special Rogues' Gallery has been included below, picturing some of the Progressives who may turn up in Durham masquerading as SEC Members.

.

Please note:  a few NCDP Officers listed as PDNC Members in Edition 158 were SEC Members once before, but not now.  The same is true below, still listed because these Progressives could very easily sneak in to vote at the SEC Meeting by signing up as Proxies for those who cannot attend.

.

You have to keep alert with 700 Members milling around. Progressives sneak in all the time, and that's why I recommended that all Progressives be required to wear Purple Hats at SEC Meetings, so there can be full transparency regarding voting taking place.

.

As many as 20% of those attending the SEC Meeting in Durham this weekend could be Progressives disguised as Party Officers.  That's enough to turn the vote on most any issue.  Look for them as they swarm the Meeting to try to change NCDP's Plan of Organization to accommodate their private Corporate Agenda.
